Gingerbread men with a twist

Hi Everyone,
Hopefully you are all preparing for Christmas and getting more and more excited with each passing day. Gingerbread men are a wonderful treated for Christmas and the time leading up to the day. The tradition of gingerbread treats have only been around since the 15th century and have evolved so much since then. More information about the history of Gingerbread can be found here

It is always fun to create traditional gingerbread men, decorated with white icing and sometimes a few lollies. But we also love creating different styles of gingerbread 'men'.
Try making some gingerbread...
  • Houses (kits for these can be bought at the supermarket)
  • Christmas trees (these are great fun to decorate)
  • Stars
  • Bells
  • Or any other Christmas related cookie cutter shape you have!

But if you want to try something even more different try Reindeer Gingerbread.
Simply create normal gingerbread man (home-made ones are great but you can always try and but not iced from the supermarket)
But then turn them upside down!
Decorate what would have been the head with a nose an eyes, what would have been the arms with ears and what would have been the legs with antlers.

You could even use red icing for the nose and make rudoff.

Let us know how you went and maybe even send us some photos!
Merry Christmas
